Google has released a new Android ahead of time

Google has released a test build of the Android P operating system, according to a blog for developers.

It was planned that the new Android will present on March 14. The new version of the system is currently available only for devices Pixel (own brand Google). According to Ars Technica, the next Android will not support smartphones Nexus 5x and Nexus 6P, as well as the tablet Pixel C.

The Verge lists some of the innovations of the next version of Android. In particular, the function of setting the display interface is available in the system, which, among other things, makes it possible to manage the space on the sides from the front notch. This is useful for manufacturers of smartphones with "monobrow".

The first gadget with "monobrow" was the iPhone X, in February, Bloomberg reported that Google plans to add support for its OS cutout at the top of the display. As noted by The Verge, this is not the only similarity of Android P with Apple products. For example, notifications about new messages are similar to iMessage.

There is no name for a new Android. As a rule, Google gives the name of the operating system by the names of sweets. The latest version of Android is called Oreo, the previous one is Nougat.
