And so you decided to change your hosting provider and transfer your site to another hosting. The reason you made this decision can be completely different. Maybe the quality of the services provided does not suit you or the speed of work is low, or maybe they just found a better offer.

The first thing you need to do to transfer the site to a new place is to buy a VDS or VPS server. Why we are talking specifically about them, as they are the most customizable, safe and fast.

After choosing a new provider, you need to transfer your domain name to a new server or select a new one. Let's take a closer look at how to do this. You will need to go to the admin panel of the new server to add your domain name. Go to the "control panel" in it we find the "domain management" section. Next, select the function “register a new domain” or “Transfer domain” you need. If you are transferring a domain name, then you need to specify the transferred address. Next, we attach all the necessary folders, in them we will transfer all the information from the old hosting.

In order to bring all the necessary files, first you need to archive them in ZIP format. This is done so that the transfer takes less time and space. Next, using the FTP client, download all the files to your computer, and then to the new server.

The next step will be the transfer of the content management system or as it is called the CMS system. To do this, go to the admin panel of the former provider and in the control panel we find the "Database Management" section, select the desired database and click "export". Database data is also best transferred in ZIP archive format. We save the database on your computer, and then repeat all the same steps on the new hosting provider. Only now, instead of export, click "create a new database", fill out all the necessary fields and click "Create". A new database has been created, but it is still empty. Now, you need to import all the databases from your computer into it, in the tab with the same name, specify the path to the folder on your computer and transfer the archive.

Now all the data has been transferred, it remains to link the databases and files. To do this, you need to register the database name, username and password in your content management system. You yourself prescribed these parameters when creating a new database. Now the database and file are connected and can exchange data.

And the last step is to change the NS records of the domain name. To do this, it is best for you to contact those support of your hosting providers.
