"Roskosmos" continues to "restore order and further decriminalization" of the Russian space industry, reports TASS statement of the official representative of the state corporation Vladimir Ustimenko.
According to the manager, the management of Roscosmos got acquainted with the results of the inspection by the General Prosecutor’s Office of industrial enterprises, and “actively promoted it by providing materials of the state corporation’s internal audit service”. “On the basis of these materials, at the end of 2018, exhaustive measures were taken at the enterprises of the rocket and space industry to restore order,” said Ustimenko.
A representative of Roscosmos added that in order to increase control over the legality of financial and economic activities, a centralized vertically integrated financial control system was formed.
According to a report submitted by Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika in April, more than 1.6 billion rubles allocated for the modernization of production and the development of promising types of weapons were stolen at the jurisdictional enterprises of Roskosmos and Rostec.
In January, the general director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said he considered “wrong when law-enforcement and control agencies send public information to the public for the sake of PR, which could worsen the economic situation of state-owned companies.” Thus, the former Deputy Prime Minister commented on the violations of the state corporation published in November 2018 of the Accounts Chamber and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
