Russia “hit” Kamchatka with Topol-M missile

At the Plesetsk cosmodrome, the combat training launch of the Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) took place. On Monday, September 30, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that a stationary (mine) -based rocket was launched. ICBM successfully hit the target in Kamchatka. The launch was carried out to confirm the flight performance of the complex.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense added that during the tests, the readiness of the ICBMs on combat alert of strategic missile forces was confirmed.

In June, it was reported that by the end of this year, three missile regiments of the Yars complex would be put on combat duty. They will receive missile divisions in Yoshkar-Ola, Irkutsk and Barnaul. The Kozelsky Missile Division will receive two stationary-based launchers, and the division near Orenburg will be equipped with a regiment with the Avangard complex.
